We had a fabulous time at Gite de l’Oeil. It’s newly renovated and has everything you need for a home away from home holiday. The house is spacious and has lots of outside space to enjoy throughout the day and you can walk, cycle or drive to many lovely local places - lakes & beaches or towns & restaurants. There’s also a village bakery and local supermarkets if you want to eat in. We really enjoyed the peaceful location and Tina and Gary were brilliant hosts. Highly recommend a stay at Gite de l’Oeil.
J'ai passé quelques jours au gîte de l'Oeil en compagnie d'amies anglaises. Nous avons été accueillies très chaleureusement par Tina et Gary. Le gîte est très confortable, moderne et traditionnel à la fois. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une météo printanière et ensoleillée. Ce qui nous a permis de profiter des extérieurs de la propriété et d'explorer les alentours de l'Oeil. Séjour délicieux, reposant et requinquant. Merci Tina et Gary. A bientôt j'espère.
This Gite is in such a beautiful and tranquil setting. The Gite itself is a comfortable place to stay providing a traditional French feel with a tasteful modern appeal.
The garden is great to walk around and explore or even just to sit in with a good read, along with a coffee and some yummy fresh baked products from the local Boulangerie.
The surrounding area is lovely to go for a walk or on a bike ride. Plus many other places locally to visit and eat.
The hosts are welcoming, friendly and helpful.
We are looking forward to staying again next year.

The setting for this gite can only be described as idiliic. Set among rolling farmland surrounded by quaint French villages you are almost forced to relax and take life at a slower pace. There is no better place to unwind and relax. Tina and Gary are the perfect hosts. They are friendly, on hand, and willing and able to help with anything you need. The gite is furnished to the highest standard. There are endless walks from the doorstep and numerous attractions within easy driving distance from the bustling French town of La Souterraine to the moving site of the Oradour-sur-Glane massacre. You will not regret your choice to stay at this gite, I guarantee.
Visited with family and had a lovely and comfortable stay at the gite Tina and Gary were very welcoming. There was plenty to see and do during our stay with visits to local historical sites and lakes included and of course walks around the local area with stunning views will definitely return.
Throughly enjoyed my stay. A lovely tranquil, peaceful setting. Tina and Gary were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The local village Fursac is very friendly and just a short distance away. Great local walks and good cycling area, Swimming in lake a highlight.
Would highly recommend the accommodation, hosts and the area. Will definitely be back.
